We no longer sell vintage stock online, however I've kept these FAQ's up, just in case we start selling online again at a later date!
Sometimes you may have questions that you'd like answered without having to get in touch with us. Here are a small selection of answers to frequently asked questions.
Can I place my order over the phone?
Yes, you can place your order over the phone, call us on 07985 181120 from 9am to 7pm, 7 days a week. Please leave a message for us if we don't answer and we will get back to you as soon as we can. You will need to pay by cheque or postal order, made payable to Caroline Brown (more info below).
How do I place my order online?
Placing your order online at Rose & Brown is very simple, just click on the 'add to shopping bag' icon next to the item you wish to order and follow the instructions.
Will my card details be secure if I order online?
Yes, your card and contact details are secure when you place your order online at Rose & Brown vintage boutique. Our whole shopping bag is a secure area (check out the security padlock at the bottom right of the screen and the prefix https of the address in your browser address bar when you enter your shopping basket pages, this means all your contact details are held securely). When you have put your items into the shopping basket and are ready to checkout, you will be directed to our secure server, which is hosted by Paypal. Only when you are on the Paypal secure payment page (again you can see the golden padlock and the https prefix), will you enter your card details, which means that only the Paypal hold your card details and no one else has access to them, including us.
Will my details be kept private?
Yes, your details will always be kept private by Rose & Brown. We will only use your details for the purpose you provided them for and we do not share, sell or swap your details with third parties.
How long will delivery take?
As every item is picked by hand, checked, packed and wrapped to ensure it reaches you in top condition, orders are generally sent out within 3 days..You should allow a further 3 days for UK delivery, up to 10 days for European delivery and up to 16 days for international delivery (please note that these are subject to the postal traffic conditions.) We can offer a next working day delivery service if you need an item urgently, however, this is at extra (postage) cost, so please call us for a quote on 07985 181120
Can I return an order if it is not suitable?
At the moment we only offer a return service if items are faulty or have been described incorrectly. Unfortunately, as an independent business a full return service is not sustainable at this current time. If you have any queries at all once your item has arrived please do contact us by email and we will be happy to help.
Which payment methods can I use?
You can pay for your order online by Paypal and you do not need to have a Paypal account. Alternatively, you can pay by cheque, but we will wait until your cheque has cleared (usually 5 working days from receipt) before sending out your item. Please email us to let us know that you are paying by cheque and please send it within 2 days of contacting us. Please make it payable to Caroline Brown.
How can I find out the cost of postage before I order an item?
Postage and packaging is free for delivery within the UK. For orders outside the UK the cost will vary depending on the combined weight of your full order and its geographic destination. If you wish to order from outside the UK please email us and we will work out the shipping and notify you so that you can pay the full amount through Paypal. PLEASE NOTE, occasionally we will upload items such as furniture which are too heavy to send by post, and we will specify that these are for COLLECTION ONLY and you will need to make your own arrangements to collect them. Please email us on email@example.com if you are intending to buy a COLLECTION ONLY item.
Can I order from outside the UK and will you ship internationally?
Yes, we accept international orders and can ship worldwide to most locations including, but not limited to: the UK, USA, Europe, Japan, China, Australia and New Zealand. Current exceptions are Nigeria and Vietnam. We use first class post within the UK, airmail to Europe and to the rest of the world.
My order has not arrived, what should I do?
If your order has not arrived in a timely manner, we will sort this out for you, please contact us by email and we will look into it for you straight away.
My order was damaged in transit, what should I do?
You must notify the Delivery Company and Rose & Brown of any problems that may have arisen during transport (e.g. damaged packaging, open package, breakage inside packaging…) within 3 days of receipt of your goods. Although we cannot be held responsible for problems arising during transport, we will refund you for the cost of the goods and their postage upon receipt of the said goods in the condition you received them.
